Black Canyon Restaurant, Alamanda

One of my favourite place in the whole world is the Black Canyon Restaurant in Alamanda, Putrajaya.I love the ambience of the restaurant and the wide variety of food served. It is air conditioned, but it also has tables outside for those who enjoy fresh air.

The environment

The drink preparation counter...sometimes manned by equally yummylicious looking guys.....

I especially love sitting at the table opposite the drink bar. You can see all sorts of beautiful drinks being prepared there and yum yum...They just make you go hungry even more!

The food

If we are feeling festive ( and today being a school holiday and I took leave from work to spend time with my children - is something we consider festive ) my family can order some thing like this...

The super sized plate fish steak

All sorts of western food such as lamb chop, fish steak, beef steak, fish and chips and others are available here. One western food that is not readily served in other eatery shops are sandwiches. The western foods with mushroom soup. Both the steak and the soup costs RM25.90.

On the days when my budgets are tight, I order food from the sets like this. The American fried rice ( heaped with protein from the fried chicken, egg and sausages) is served with tomyam soup and it costs RM12.90. There are 7 items altogether in the sets that you can choose from.

You can order gorgeous and delicious desserts such as this a banana split look alike minus the banana. It is called Fancy Ice Cream. It costs RM 8.50.

The service

In terms of service, I would rate it as fair. We arrived at 12.15 pm on a Friday afternoon, which is a prime time when the government servants from the neighbouring government offices head out in for lunches. We were promptly given the menu. The food arrived after 30 minutes, which I consider okay. We went here for dinner once, and the food reached us in 20 minutes.

The kids certified the food delicious! They are really picky eaters so that must mean something! So do dropby here if you visit Putrajaya. The address :
